Position Title: Community Energy Ambassador

Description: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Independent Contractor – Community Energy Ambassadors for the Southbridge community. Energy Ambassadors will play a crucial role in identifying and assisting residents in accessing energy assistance programs and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Identify and provide personalized energy assistance services to Southbridge residents

· Assist residents in navigating application processes for energy assistance programs

· Coordinate the delivery of energy services to improve home efficiency and the environment

· Act as a liaison between the community, energy agencies, and other stakeholders

· Provide education and assistance to residents in accessing eligible energy programs

· Attend mandatory training sessions and complete a Building Science certification program

· Maintain detailed records of interactions with homeowners/residents

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum age of 18

· Two forms of identification

· High school diploma/GED certificate or college transcripts

· Two letters of reference

· Must attend program orientation and complete all training programs

GENERAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Effective Communication skills and being Bi-Lingual is a plus

· Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

· Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

· Proficient time management skills

· Proficiency in Google Suites/Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Willingness to learn project management tools and other software

· Sound judgment in decision-making

· Strong emotional intelligence and exceptional customer service skills

· Southbridge resident preferred

Compensation:

· Energy Ambassadors will be paid during the training period at $18.00 per hour for two weeks.

· Pay rate starts at $25.00 per hour.

The Southbridge Energy Ambassador Program is a community-driven initiative aimed at enhancing the environmental sustainability and energy efficiency of properties within the Southbridge community. Through personalized assistance and advocacy, we strive to empower residents with resources to improve their homes and reduce energy costs.
